We've been wanting to visit the Grand Canyon for some time but haven't managed to find the time yet. The next opportunities I have to take sufficient time off work are in July, when I reckon the place will be scorching and crowded, or in late October, when there won't be any crowds, but neither will there be any mule rides, at least not the short ones, that H. was wanting to take (a day or even a half-day spent on the back of a mule seems like an awful long time to me). Decisions, decisions. The National Park Service web site suggests that there may still will be horses, if we can't get a reservation for a mule...
In the meantime, I've got a few days off from work this week to do a spot of camping--haven't been camping in ages. Hope you all have a great week!
