I spy

I spy magnets, detailI spy magnets
I spy a bucket, a jewel, a caboose that's blue,
a mouse, two fish, and a little airplane too.

I love to repurpose the business card magnets we get in the mail to make these (much prettier) magnet sets. They are super easy:

1. Prep the magnets by stripping off some or all of the plasticky smooth top layer (the part with the advertisement on it). This will help the glue to adhere better.
2. Glue on bits of discarded books and other decorative papers--you can also cut out words to make a magnetic poetry set. Elmer's or craft glue works fine--mod podge or other decoupage medium will also work.
3. Using your trusty household scissors, trim up the edges to make them neat.
4 (Optional). Cover with a thin layer of mod podge for extra durability.
